Ever found yourself bringing up the Facebook application to set your status for your FB friends, then launching your favorite Twitter client to send the same info to your Tweeps, then thinking you should have posted it to your blog as well? Twenty minutes later, you find yourself alone, thumbs aching, too tired to really appreciate the picture of the funny little dog with a scarf anymore.
We at Curious Squid dare to stand up and say NO MORE. And thus we created…Pingle!
Pingle is an application for the Apple iPhone which allows you to update your status, post links, upload photos, and update your location on all your social networks at once. Write once, post everywhere!
Pingle is a client for the Ping.FM social networking aggregator service. With Pingle, you can use your iPhone to post text, photos, and location updates to all your blogs, microblogs, and social networks at once. Or you can post to some of them, or just one at a time, depending on your whim and intended audience.
- Simple, comfortable user interface
- Camera and photo library integration
- All features supported in portrait or landscape orientation (for wide keyboard fans)
- View and repost from a history of your previous pings
- Easy location integration with location privacy controls (”fuzzing”)
- Google Maps based viewer to see and modify your posted location
Pingle works on both the original 1G iPhone and the 3G iPhone, and (probably) on the iPod Touch. It uses the location and camera/photo capabilities of your device to enrich your status updates with where you are and what’s going on around you.
